What a weekend for Harmeny athletes! *drawing breath* Lyndsay Cockburn came home in first place in the beautiful, but tough, 35 mile Tiree ultramarathon in 4hrs37mins.
Iain Hutchison continued his fine run of form with a first Brit over the line at the popular Budapest half marathon in 1.19.29.
Our new head Jog Scotland leader Kim Kenny proved yet again what an inspiration she is by completing a mind-boggling 102.99miles at the Glenmore 24hr race, although we wonder how much effort it would have taken to reach 103. Probably quite a lot!!! And Rona Perkins ran 38.9 miles in the Glenmore 12 hours race, her first ultra distance and the longest she has ever ran.
In the junior section, Matthew Holden took a prestigious title by winning the junior Great North City Games Run.
We had a club outing to The Meadows junior parkrun on Sunday too.
That’s not to mention various age group and placings for a number of athletes and a 3rd place in the Scottish 10k for new coach Jamie Crowe in Stirling.
A club on the up? You betcha!
