Yet another amazing day for Harmeny AC on Saturday. Pride of place goes to U15 boys who, as usual with this bunch of extraordinary boys, performed when it really mattered and won the East District League. Amazing. Tendai, Archie, Alastair, Ethan, Finlay and Jacob – what a squad!
Just to prove what a great squad we have, the u11 boys were narrowly beaten to the title. A win for Fergus and a 3rd place from Daniel who were brilliantly backed up by an impressive squad: Ross, Charlie, Ben, Arran, Jacob, Fergus and Jonty.
It was particularly pleasing to see the u11 girls also finishing 2nd over the 3-match season. Top10 finishes for Nancy and Leah backed up by a top 20 for Carys, and strong finishes from Olivia and Alex.
Another 2 top 10 finishes from Dan and Matthew saw the under 13 boys also pick up silver medals with Kealan, Dair, Lewis and Kieran again making impressive finishes.
Strong showings from the u13 girls Esther, Natsai and Skye weren’t quite enough to elevate them onto the podium but looking forward to seeing what this group do on the track in the summer.
We also had a large contingent of seniors out – 18 to be precise with some newbies too and everyone seemed to have a great time.
