UPDATE: Lasswade AC have now awarded our U11 boys team the Bronze medals. An error in the counting meant we originally missed out out this has now been corrected. Well done boys!

Over 300 runners from across the country attended the 36th annual Lasswade XC meeting. It was a lovely crisp day and Harmeny had 9 runners over 3 events.

The under 11 girls were well represented with 4 runners. Charlotte led for most of the race but fell back on the last section to take 8th place. Gutsy runs from Natsai, India and Skye meant we were in contention for a team placed but just missed out placing 5th.

The under 11 boys had a team of 3 runners, Archie, Mathew and Fergus. An error at the start meant Fergus missed the gun and had to run a couple of hundred metres to catch the tail of the race. Fine runs by all 3 boys saw them come equal 3rd team but miss out on a trophy due to the other team having a higher placed finisher.

Tendai was delighted to secure the first prize trophy for the boys u13 race. He was neck and neck for the whole race with a Pitreavie runner but Tendai finished strongly to take the win with a lead of 4 seconds. Nathan had a fantastic run to come in 7th place. A trip near the finish lost him a place but he picked himself up and carried on. Well done Nathan.
