A cracking day of results today for our young athletes.  The morning started by receiving last Saturday’s results from the Forth Valley League where both A and B teams consolidated their positions in 3rd place in their respective divisions.  Some fine individual performances and everybody should be very proud that we’re going into the 3rd match on 23rd June with the A team still having a (albeit slim) chance of pinching 2nd place and promotion to Division 1.  All to play for.  Within those results was a U15 club record for Col Dracup in the 200m with a time of 24.6secs.

Later in the morning Susan sent me a link of the standings of the inaugural National Event Specific Grand Prix Series for Scotland, which finds our very own Murray Fraser at the top of the standings for U13 combined events with 652 points.  Amazing performances from Murray who is consistently brilliant in all the events he does.

Finally, word reaching us via Twitter that Finlay Ross has won his 800m at the GAA Miler meet at Scotstoun in Glasgow, beating some of the best runners, many in older age categories, from the West in the process.  Once again, a new club record for Finlay.  Well done!

I’ll post a link to the results when available.

All this week just a week after Finlay won the 5k at the EMF and Matthew Denham proved he is one to look out for with a 3rd place in the 1.5km in the same event.  The event contained so many good results from Harmeny runners, the future is definitely red and green!

And the summer season has only just begun…….!
